Zero Net Energy/ Water Boston: Library & Community Center Study

In conducting a study of the site and site renewable water systems such as permeable interlocking concrete rainwater harvesting pavers and green roofs, I found that incorporating these systems could be pretty simple if thought through early in the design process. With new construction being a large percentage of building construction there is not really a reason why we couldn't merge more of these systems into a design. With choosing more efficient fixtures designers can help lesson the amount of heavy water use for a building and use this water else were like irrigation. I think in Texas where water tables are heavily kept an eye on, due to drought, would benefit from this type of research and system integration.

  1. Hello Amber,
I really like your Project two. I think it is very neat, and it is easy to follow. Also, the white background helps me read your entire project. Keep it up and I believe you can make it.
    You have a nice day,
